CHAMPIONSHIP – COACH REPORT

Championship game out ready to fight hard against a strong falcons lineup. Knowing we would need to stay composed and fight hard for the full 60 mins the girls came out strong, working the ball and giving themselves every opportunity, only 5 goals between them at half time.

A sloppy 3rd quarter proved costly with the deficit going to 10. The girls fought hard to close the gap getting within 7 but falcons pushed hard and we drew the quarter to finish 10 down. Some brilliant signs and great elements to keep building going up against 4th places Blaze.

Final Score: 51/61

Best on Court: Tara Cecil

DIVISION ONE – COACH REPORT

Div One showed absolute class, skill and composure against a very physical City West. Taking the lead at quarter time by 3 and half time by 1 whilst the pressure was building on the scoreboard our girls remained cool an displayed maturity beyond their years. Nikki Holden was once again dominant in WA and Alex Maher shot superbly at 91% giving us our third win in a row.

Final Score: 52/47

Best on court: Nikki Holden

19/UNDER – COACH REPORT

After losing another key defender to injury early in the game, the girls quickly adjusted to put on a spectacular display of fierce and controlled netball to obliterate a formidable opposition in the 1st quarter, with a 16 goal lead at quarter time.  The relentless defensive pressure created plenty of opportunities throughout, but Falcons disrupted our flow in attack with a late surge in the last quarter netting them the last 9 goals of the game. Nonetheless, the girls hung on to win by 3 and earnt their spot back in the top 4. A great team effort.

Final Score: 49/46

Best on court: Abuk Kenyang
