CHAMPIONSHIP – COACH REPORT

Championship came out with a clear intention to continue to develop the slick connections in attack they have been building that we weren’t able to display last week. The girls hit the lead early, with several intercepts from vice captain Adrienne Harris early to give our attack end plenty of opportunity to convert. Gabrielle Dwyer was outstanding in GA creating space, shooting from everywhere and proving lethal in defence with several turnovers through the midcourt. A solid 34 point win.

Final Score: 65/31

Best on Court: Gabrielle Dwyer

DIVISION ONE – COACH REPORT

Our Div one girls came out confident and composed from the first whistle. Keeping our error rate at its lowest for the season we took a controlled 6 goal lead in to the 3/4 qtr break. Saints fought back hard in the last quarter but we stuck to our game plan with tight one on one defence across the court. Coming away with our first win of the season getting over Saints by 2 goals.

Final Score: 46/42

Best on court: Claudia Whitfort

19/UNDER – COACH REPORT

Wednesday was a battle from the get go. Saints got the jump on us early, leaving us chasing the whole game. Their centre court press stifled our attack and we just weren’t hard enough at the ball. It was great to see Sussu get her VNL debut, a super exciting young talent that we will be working with while we have Ash Barnett and Sara Russell recovering from injury.

Final Score: 44/54

Best on court: Bella Riddell
